“I went to the APhA (American Pharmacists Association) annual meeting in Los Angeles, CA and was the delegate for the Phi Lambda Sigma delegate session, hosted on Day 2 of the conference! It is four days long, full of networking and educational workshops, award ceremonies, along with opening and closing celebrations. I went because I wanted to enhance my pharmacy education. I knew it would be a great networking opportunity, and I wanted to figure out how we could improve our Ferris chapter. I learned that there are many improvements we can make to our chapter, and how excited a helpful event like this can make you for the career that lies ahead! It was a great experience, where I met a lot of interesting people from all over the country. I think Ferris’ College of Pharmacy should encourage events like these a little more, so students can get their heads out of their books and notes for a weekend. Students can get an educational and networking experience, all without the pressure of an exam at the end. Any pharmacy student may attend this conference.”
